Welcome to the home page the Stevens Point Music Teachers Association! For over 25 years, the Stevens Point Area Music Teachers Association [SPAMTA] has been serving the independent and collegiate music teachers in Portage and Wood County. The primary purpose of SPAMTA is to encourage our students and community through programs and projects that support fine arts.
SPAMTA is an affiliated chapter of both the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association [WMTA] and the Music Teachers National Association [MTNA].
The Wisconsin Music Teachers Association [WMTA] founded in 1910, is committed to furthering the art of music through programs that encourage and support music teaching, performance, composition and research.
Since 1876, Music Teachers National Association [MTNA] has been the undisputed leader in empowering the music-teaching professional. MTNA's mission is to advance the value of music study and music making to society and to support the professionalism of music teachers.
